VoIP Dashboard

Data Analytics Platform

Introduction

Verizon’s teams were tracking VoIP node operations across spreadsheets, email threads, and whatever documentation happened to exist that week. Nothing was the single source of truth, so finding a number meant asking someone, and updating one usually meant re-keying data that already lived somewhere else. I led the design of the dashboard that replaced all of it.

The Challenge

The process wasn’t just manual, it was scattered. Node-level information sat across Excel sheets, inboxes and ad-hoc docs, which produced exactly what you would expect: inconsistencies, delays and a lot of rework. The system also had to carry genuinely complex operational data while staying simple enough for daily use by teams with very different levels of technical comfort.

The Solution

One interface, one source of truth. I consolidated node data and operational tracking into a structured dashboard built around how fast information could go in and come back out. Quicker entry, the key operational detail readable at a glance, and far less dependence on somebody manually keeping a sheet current — so teams finally worked from the same view of system activity.
